Frequently asked questions
All about your trip
Programmes
Is this a weight loss retreat?
The weight loss programme is not a diet or a one-week crash plan. A doctor and a nutritionist look at food, movement, sleep and body composition together and give you a plan you can continue at home. Results are individual.
How is this different from a medical spa or a sanatorium?
It is a 5-star boutique hotel with only 21 rooms, so there are no crowds. A programme starts with a doctor’s consultation and diagnostics, the content is chosen for your goal, and your meals, treatments, exercise and rest are planned for each day.
Do I need a medical reason to book a programme?
No. Every programme starts with a doctor’s consultation and an assessment of your starting point.
If you have a diagnosis or ongoing treatment, tell your consultant in advance — the doctor will assess whether the programme suits you. Programmes do not replace treatment by a specialist.
How long is a programme, and can I extend it?
Weight loss, detox and menopause programmes run from 4 to 15 nights; the burnout recovery programme from 4 to 22 nights.
What is the difference between RESTORE, ACTIVATE and TRANSFORM?
RESTORE is the essential level: the foundation of recovery without extended medical diagnostics, in a standard room.
ACTIVATE goes deeper: laboratory tests, more medical treatments, a final doctor’s consultation and a complimentary night.
TRANSFORM is the most complete: full diagnostics, an endocrinologist, a forest-view suite, a personal assistant, transfer and follow-up after the programme.
Is the price per person?
Yes. Prices are per programme for one guest, with accommodation included.
Your stay
Can I just stay at the hotel, without a programme?
Yes, rooms can be booked separately from programmes. Every stay already includes a doctor’s consultation and a 15–20 minute express check-up, a wellness ritual of your choice, Donat Mg water from the spring and entry to the drinking hall.
What is included in the standard room rate?
A doctor’s consultation and a 15–20 min express check-up, a wellness ritual of your choice, Donat Mg water from the spring delivered to your room, entry to the drinking hall, the pool, jacuzzi, 4 saunas and gym, bicycles and Nordic walking, fresh fruit in your room every day, Wi-Fi and parking.
What is breakfast like?
A cold buffet with hot dishes served à la carte: coffee of every kind, including plant-based milk, fresh juices, hot dishes with vegetarian options, pastries and local farm cheeses, cottage cheese, sour cream and honey. Healthy options include gluten-free cereals, nuts, homemade chia puddings and yoghurts.
Lunch and dinner are served à la carte in the restaurant.
How big is the pool, and is the water thermal?
The indoor pool is 8 × 4 m and 1.35 m deep, with a counter-current, at about 32 °C. The water is ordinary, not thermal. There is also a jacuzzi at about 35 °C.
Is parking free?
Yes. Guests park free of charge in the open car park on the hotel’s enclosed grounds. There is no covered parking. You do not need to reserve a space — just let us know that you are coming by car.
How far is the Donat Mg spring?
A 4–5 minute walk through the spa park; reception will show you the way. The drinking hall is open 7:00–10:00, 11:30–13:00 and 16:00–19:00. Bottled Donat Mg is in your room every day.
Getting here
How do I get to Rogaška Slatina, and is there a transfer?
Rogaška Slatina is about 1 h 20 min from Zagreb. Transfers are available from Graz, Ljubljana and Zagreb airports; in TRANSFORM programmes the transfer is included.
An individual transfer is arranged on request: a BMW 7 Series for two or a six-seat Mercedes Viano for a family with luggage. The price depends on the route and the car — send us your flight details and we will prepare an exact offer.
Can I go on excursions?
Yes. Most guests go on their own: on foot around the spa town, by car or with the hotel transfer — to the nearest thermal pools, the lakes or the mountains. The transfer drives you there and picks you up when it suits you.
A guided tour can be arranged on request by your personal assistant: they contact a local guide and agree the dates and the trip with our transfer. More on the Hotel page, in “Where to go nearby”.
Do I need a visa?
Slovenia is in the European Union and the Schengen area. If citizens of your country need a Schengen visa, you will need to get it before you travel.
Booking and payment
Which payment methods are available?
See the Payment page for details.
