# Hotel Aleksander & Revita Clinic

A story since 1905

A historic building above the spa centre of Rogaška Slatina. You can have a check-up, treatments, recovery and rest without leaving the hotel.

Who we are

## A preventive medicine retreat at the springs of Rogaška

Hotel Aleksander is a 5-star boutique hotel with a clinic and spa: just 21 rooms and suites above the centre of Rogaška Slatina. It is a historic grand spa hotel with modern rooms, peace and quiet, and attentive staff.

At its heart is Revita Clinic: check-ups, prevention, recovery and spa under one roof. The Donatela restaurant cooks with the same goals in mind.

## History of the hotel

1905–1906
Hotel Erzherzog Johann is built on the slope above the spa park — a new Secession-style landmark of the resort.

1909
Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević, later King Alexander I of Yugoslavia, stays at the hotel for three weeks as Comte d’Avala.

around 1920
The building is run as a sanatorium: from the start the hotel was part of the Rogaška spa.

1995
The hotel closes: its facilities have become outdated.

2008–2009
Full restoration: the building, an underground garage and the wellness area.

2010
The hotel reopens as Hotel Aleksander — a 5-star boutique hotel with 21 rooms.

Guests over the years included the writer Ivo Andrić, the sculptor Ivan Meštrović and the politician Ivan Šubašić.

### Donatela restaurant

Seasonal produce, European cooking with dishes from other countries. Every guest eats as much as they like, when it suits them.

### Wellness area

An indoor pool, saunas, jacuzzi, gym and treatment rooms. After a treatment you can go straight to the pool or sauna.
